After 20+ years of Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect, the leader of the Cenation has turned away from all his morals and joined the "dark side." In my last article, I was extremely skeptical of Paul "Triple H" Levesque's plan for WrestleMania 41. With the Royal Rumble setting up a Jey Uso vs. Gunther rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship, the card was doomed with a lack of stardom and storytelling included in the scheduled championship matches. However, I was wrong. The moment fans had been waiting for years finally happened.

The hype surrounding the 2025 Royal Rumble was enormous. It was being marketed as the biggest men's royal rumble, with wrestlers like Roman Reigns, CM Punk, John Cena, and others being announced to participate. And that was besides all the rumors and speculations of returns and debuts. However, the men's rumble seemingly would be the culmination of a 20+ year-long career for John Cena and begin the road to his 17th record-breaking World Championship Reign. That was until the weirdest booking decision in recent royal rumble history happened:

It was time for the yearly Saudi Arabia PLE, "Crown Jewel." This year, the event hosted matches between both brands' champions. The Smackdown WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, would face the Raw World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, would face off in a match for the "Crown Jewel Championship."

What a close to a great pro wrestling event. The main event left many jaws dropping, and many minds left to ponder on what just transpired. However, there were many great matches and returns before the main event between Jon Moxley and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson.

The night began with the last chapter of a feud that began at the Royal Rumble. The story of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will come to an end. After months of terrorizing each other’s lives, Punk will win this rivalry, but not in an ideal way.
