THE EVIL EMPIRE IS BACK! The New York Yankees have booked their ticket to the franchise's 41st World Series appearance. After defeating the Cleveland Guardians, 4-1 in the ALCS, thanks to the Juan Soto go-ahead homerun. The Yankees will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman against Judge Soto and Stanton. Cole against Yamamoto. This series is one that baseball has been waiting for. The classic Yankees versus Dodgers matchup is a must-see. Especially since they have the best record in their respective leagues and have the MVPs of each league, it's a match made in baseball heaven. The Yankees chase their first championship in 15 years, the 28th in their history. And the Dodgers are seeking their second championship in the last four years. Two of the biggest payrolls face off in the fall classic.

The Yankees will enter LA in game one because the Dodgers have the better regular season record. Gerrit Cole will likely be on the bump, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will likely be his counterpart. The Yankees are coming off a great series win against a loaded bullpen that they performed well against. The Yankee offense could be a scary scenario for LA if the offense can replicate the same against this Dodgers pitching staff. However, the Dodgers offense has been explosive this postseason for obvious reasons. Having Ohtani, Betts, and lower batting order players like Tommy Edman and Kiké Hernandez show up big. If the Yankees' pitching staff can find a way to replicate their ALCS performance, maybe include Marcus Stroman in the pitching staff, and the Yanks could see themselves winning the 28th championship in franchise history. New York needs this now more than ever. It could be a New York sports takeover. The NY Liberty got it done. Why can't the Yanks?

The Yankees are off to the World Series… see ya in LA.
