Mets Owner Steve Cohen has FINALLY got his guy. The Mets have agreed to terms with free agent Juan Soto to a historic record-breaking contract for 15 years, $765M, with an annual value of $51M. It is the richest contract ever given to a player, beating Shohei Ohtani’s 10-year, $700M contract from last offseason. After a back-and-forth bidding war with primarily the New York Yankees, the Mets beat their crosstown rivals for the marquee free agent.

The MLB Offseason is underway, and the first big chip is off the block after Cy Young LHP Blake Snell signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, the big fish is still available to sign as 26-year-old OF Juan Soto has not yet signed with a team. The rumors have heated up, and with that comes fake reports of imminent deals being agreed upon. As of December 6th, OF Juan Soto is a free agent, and only he and his agent, Scott Boras, know his situation.

The Cinderella Story ends in LA. The Mets were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-2, in the NLCS and will head back to Queens to regroup for this offseason.
Yankees win game two, only Two games away from world series
Was there ever a doubt? The Yankees take a 2-0 lead on the Guardians in the ALCS. Dominant wins by the Yankees in the Bronx. Lefty pitcher Carlos Rodon got his groove back and held it down with 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, and 9 Ks in game one to lead the Yanks to a 5-2 victory.
Game Three in Queens, Mets are split at one a piece with LA
The Mets continue to hang in there. In game one of the NLCS, it looked bleak for the Mets, a 9-0 blowout loss. It was not a pretty evening for fans. Mets pitcher Kodai Senga turned in 1.1 IP, 3 ER, 2 H, and 4 BB. It has not been the best postseason for Senga, who is still rehabbing from injuries.

An October win is a win. The Yankees pull out a close one against the Kansas City Royals in game one of the ALDS to give them a 1-0 series lead. Game One had five lead changes, which set a record for most in a baseball postseason game.

If you are a Mets fan, you can’t be too mad. The Mets stole game one in poetic fashion. They went down early in game one due to a Kyle Schwarber home run and an early Phillies rally, but it was all okay. The Mets, like they have all postseason, came back late in the game and won it at the end.
